Guruji – A Different Perspective

Fear of death, Gaiman's definition of life, the body as temple

mean many people in the West have an overwhelming fear of death. How can people overcome it? I think all over the world they have an overwhelming fear of death. Hmm. So by making your breath your friend, you will be making your death your friend as well. Hmm. Unless and until you make death your friend, you are not going to find peace . Because from the moment of birth, death is walking by your side. Hmm. So, accept it, respect her, and be friendly with her. Hmm. That is good. Sir is saying, by falling in love with the breath, one naturally overcomes the fear of death. You see, if you make your breath your friend, it is not going to leave your body. Because you are not friendly, so one

day it stops being your friend and leaves; so it all begins with friendship with yourself. I have given you the essence of Kriya Yoga. The whole Kriya Yoga science is centered around making your breath your friend. Hmm, leave these things to philosophers to decide; we will simply. So as I was saying, I love American comics and some very profound knowledge has come to me from reading comics there. Now, the comics are very great. I love them. And one of my favorite writers is Neil Gaiman. I was reading one of his comics . Death is the heroine of that comic, and somebody is asking, "What do you

think, what is life?" And what an answer he writes there! And Death is answering, "You see, life is a disease, sexually transmitted and invariably fatal." And in my opinion, this is the most accurate description of what life is, according to Neil Gaiman. Okay. Wonderful! And no philosopher has been able to observe this simple fact, "Life is a disease sexually trans..." and you are saying before that, the fear of death is overcome by overcoming the fear of non-existence or death. In fact, the moment you begin to understand life and death, there is no

fear; it is just a matter of understanding, just a matter. You are talking about how the body is a temple and I was remarking how you never see a modern gym in a cremation ground. Most people are either busy worshipping the past or they are busy rejecting the past, and they are yogis. Yoga means union. What is union? Perfect union with your past and your contemporary things. And why not all these things? I think great people invented them; they studied hard. And if the body is a temple, why not do something to keep it in good shape? It will make you feel good also. And here

A Messenger from the Other World

Hospice report and the source's interpretation of animal behavior

Man: Hospice is a place where people die. They give you the painkillers and take care of you. Sometimes they take ill persons to hospice to give a few weeks of rest to a family. We have a very modern hospice in Moscow. There are a lot of interesting stories in the hospice. For example, one day an old lady was taken by a nurse to be washed in a special room. But before entering this room the lady started to protest: “I don’t want to go there!” The nurse asked: “Why?” She answered: “There is someone sitting near me and she doesn’t want me to go there.” The nurse started persuading her that this person can wait or go with her. But the old lady said: “No, she doesn’t want to leave me and she doesn’t want to go inside, so I have to stay here.” So they let her wait and in some time (maybe in half an hour) the lady passed away. Was it a spirit? What do you think?

S: When a person is about to die, some messenger of death comes to him. They come horribly looking to bad people and to good people they come looking like their old friends.

Man: And then a dying person leaves his body and they come with him.

S: Yes.

A Messenger from the Other World

Animal perception and an asserted early shadow of death

Man: There are a lot of stories about pets changing their behavior. For example, when a dog enters the hospice, they become very…

S: …disturbed.

Man: Yes, afraid.

S: Dogs, cats, cows, crows, they are able to see them.

Man: To see whom?

S: Body spirits.

Man: There are, for example, 15 patients in the hospice. Most of them are not going to die in a few days.

S: But most of them are near that.

Man: Yes, all of them.

S: According to yoga, the death begins to cast its shadow one year before.

Man: And pets can see it?

S: Yes. And sometimes if a pet loves a person a lot, it takes death upon itself, saving a person. We have seen the accidents like this.

Fire or Earth?

Osho, the abandoned body and the immortal substance

Q: Osho was writing: this is just a body, just leave it. Many tried, many different groups of people — they don’t do any ritual, just left the body there. Osho was writing that everybody in this world is food for someone else – so we should just leave the body lying there.

Sh: He didn’t know that the soul, the immortal substance is inside the body and whatever we are doing with the body is directly attracting it. So this is the last ritual which matters.

Physiological Aspects of Samadhi

Samadhi levels, reported care and spiritual continuation

What is mahasamadhi. Are people who went to mahasamadhi come back to this body or they don’t come back at all? They actually enter the next stage of evolution. They don’t go back. When is a caterpillar, you know caterpillar becomes butterfly, it never comes back into his old group. They are more like spirits. They are so powerful in spirit they can make themselves in front of anybody.

Prana and Astral Experience

Prana: linked senses, memory and continuing practice

Q: You have told us about a spirit being frustrated on a grave if the body is not cremated properly and the rituals are not there. What can be done with it apart from cremation ? Does the practice help in this?

Sh: You see, if you are practicing and even reach a certain level when you are able to leave your body then yogically you have released permanently. No connection remains with your physical body.

ABOUT MAHASHIVARATRI

Mahashivaratri: paired divinity, disciplined sensitivity, death, happiness and cosmic power

HOW TO KNOW DEATH?

how we can know the death? Only by experiencing it through the practice?

Guruji: and your awareness: you’re dying from the day you were born. Every moment you’re dying in degrees. When you will become aware that finally this is the death you’re going to be no more – a very different thought process will begin. Our Hindus shastras tells us – Death was created as a most beautiful woman in entire creation. This is a very good thing to see her at least.

how we can know that all that exist now – it is not the end?

Guruji: look at the nature: nothing perishes, it’s just transformed into something else. Life continues.

everything will change – or it will be some small part that will be always? Like imperishable and immortal?

Guruji: yes, your core feeling that “I am” - it will remain.

because for the person it’s very hard to understand the state of the elements after his death…?

Guruji: that’s why we have to work on development of the brain: so the understanding will develop.

when I was at Shakti I felt the air is moving there?

Guruji: that is true feeling. You’re sensitive.

she is always present in her murti?

Guruji: it’s her house.

so she is not coming only in the time of puja?

Guruji: her home is supposed to be in smashan.

and what about others – Babaji and Hanuman ji: are they always present in their murtis?

Guruji: I think so.

Guruji, what do You think: the only way to believe in some higher force is the real experience that you’re neither the body nor the spirit – you’re imperishable and immortal, like a soul?

Guruji: I think it’s a good imagination: keep it. It gives us hope.

maybe it exists some other method – not to be afraid of death?

Guruji: only by knowing it: there is no other way.

could we say that the elements in our body – and elements in general – they have no personification?

Guruji: they are personified. They have their own consciousness and own personalities. They are eternal powers: nobody knows their beginning and nobody knows their end.

Guruji, and what is Your opinion: Babaji nowadays has the physical body?

Guruji: yes. When we are discussing Babaji – we discuss person with flesh and blood, who achieved something very rarely achieved. His very existence gives us hope.

ABOUT TATTOO

Tattoo dialogue: identity, laya, ecology, human divinity and samadhi

DROP OF THE SEA

Final accomplishment for the individual: when you take out a drop of the sea - it is just a drop of water. Inside the sea – it is the sea itself. The individuality will become very big: from a drop of water to the ocean; such a big transformation.

IGNORANCE IS BLISS

Those who know about the future – they always live in fear of it. So ignorance is bliss.

READ GITA LOUDLY

Do You recommend reading the Gita loudly?

Guruji: You read loudly – and a very different atmosphere will be created.

THE PARTIAL GLIMPSE OF THE SHINING

How long are these favorable and unfavorable periods of death?

Guruji: Six month and six months.

But exactly on the day of the death in uttarayana it rains?

Guruji: it's a temporary thing – the air will not be so humid. When the rains are there – all things here are so humid. The key is the humidity of the air.

But in Your commentaries You’re saying that a yogi can feel when he could leave the body?

Guruji: When a yogi is leaving the body it's a very different thing. It is said: his prana doesn’t leave the body; then merges into the source inside his body – as this source is everywhere. So it’s a very big difference. Keep thinking on it. Vasudev is there, Space is there, Time is there, Void is there: you don't have to go out to meet them. Just merge there – that’s it.

But if the yogi leaves the body before he achieves that state – he will have a partial glimpse of that Shining?

Guruji: Yes, he will have a partial glimpse.

But what does it mean – the partial glimpse?

Guruji: See, the person, who never moved out of his house, his village – what he will see? But the person, who has taken trips to go to seaside cities – he will have the glimpse of an ocean and maybe the desire to cross over them – like that. As we say: a frog who lives in the well can’t imagine what the sea looks like. Even a glimpse is very big and important.

But it’s not the perception of the Time?

Guruji: You will have a glimpse. It doesn’t mean – every glimpse you will understand everything you have a glimpse of; but it will start something in a process of understanding, because now you’re aware of something very big. There is a story in our books: some swans were coming and they landed near a well where the frog was living since he was born – because he was born there. He asked: from where you’re coming? And they said: we’re from the ocean, we crossed the ocean. The frog asked: how big is the ocean – and he made his leap: this big? They said – no, much bigger. Then he took a bigger leap: this big? Swans said – no, much bigger. Then he circled the whole well: this big? Swans said – no-no, much bigger. And he began to laugh sarcastically: you're a liar – it can’t be bigger than this!

This is usually our general condition of the mind.

When we talked about uttarayana and dakshinayana – You said there is a chance to be born either a human or a monkey?

Guruji: Wherever he will fall with the rain; whoever will eat that – that is his destiny. Not only monkeys – any animal.

Mahakala, Vibhishan, and the Seven Immortals

Mahakala collection: role models, changing worship, spirit identity, dreams and nature

"I've seen we have more open and concentrated discussions on the phone. May be telepathy works better this way since it's telephone (laughs)."

Guruji: "It's very cold over here these days."

Me: "I like cold weather."

Guruji: "I like cold too. But it's also fun to say that the cold weather is killing us (laughs). It's a different kind of pleasure to whine like this - it's a pure Indian thing. Even after eating the choicest food in a party, people complain they are going to die that they've eaten so much (laughs). See, even when somebody falls in love, they say 'he died on that girl' [Ed: sorry, no easy way to translate that in English]. "The cold weather is killing us", "we are dying in the hot summer" - we are very much in love with death, so in every situation we discover that word. May be we understand the love affair between life and death. Even death is a poetic experience."

"The mother of our water-tanker driver died a few days back. I tell you it was such a beautiful death! She was hail and hearty - no health problems. One day, after some household chores, she asked her daughter-in-law to prepare her bath. After her bath, when she got up, she suddenly felt dizzy and fell down. When people came to help her up, she asked for her husband to call him quickly. When he came, she was lying on the bed. When the husband entered the room, she said to him, joined her hands, ‘Our companionship was only for this long. I don't think I'll survive. If you can save me, save me, otherwise please forgive any transgressions. I'm leaving.’ Then she died!

"Can you imagine how deep tuning and love the husband and wife must have had, how much she must have cared for him? Both of them were saintly - I've met with both of them. I'm proud to say that I've met them. Even the big-shot sadhus haven't died like this. It was a conscious death - within 5-10 minutes everything was over. This is true love! Even after becoming grandparents, she was asking him with folded hands to forget any faults. If not them, who do you call saints! In India, there are so many unsung heroes, genuine people. You'll find them all over the place.

"There was a similar story about a temple priest who died about 2 years back. It was also very touching - we all became emotional after hearing that. He was a priest in Radha Kund. For some time he was feeling sick. One afternoon, when he was doing the puja, somebody came to tell him that his wife had just died. The priest said, 'She's gone? All right, I'm coming.' He finished his ceremony, went home, laid down next to her, took her hand, and died then and there!"

"It takes time to realize how much love life holds for death. Doesn't life just run all life long in order to finally unite with death? Real beauty is born only in the moments of union. Moments of union are always beautiful!"

APHORISMS

Aphorisms: genuine questions, vayu/agni, practice criteria, dairy farming and ghost narratives

I first became aware of it when I was only 5 years old. My grandfather was dying at the age of 97 and the whole family gathered. Everybody attending him, everybody was there. He died early in the morning in nirjala Ekadashi day, about 4- 4:30. Everybody, who was present in that room, he simply said – take me to the ground; in India it’s tradition. From the bed they put him down on the earth. Suddenly two balls of light just came down from the roof, three left – and he was dead. First time I became aware ща some high being came – the whole family continue to discuss it even today.

two spirits come to take him?

Guruji: it looks like it. The day was also very auspicious to die.

You have five fingers – may be they are five elements or five vayus inside you. If you have some extra finger – it means something extra is inside your body. Maybe a sign of a warlock, or wizard or witch. Only with six fingers your six sense will be more active.

APHORISMS

English counterpart of Russian aphorisms: wording strength and preserved paradox

it exists some beings which are interested in our progress, except our spirit?

Guruji: spirit also wants to have a perfect body so they can remain together. That is the driving force behind everything.

What is life and what is death? The joining of the spirit with the physical body is life, the separation is called death.

consciousness comes from the body or from the spirit?

Guruji: that’s why they say – body is like the field: if you cultivate it – you can grow so many things on it. It will depend on your very regular practice – you grow on it, then you will have some sort of command or control over it. It is the effect of practice. Now you’re have two practices: you’re practicing love and Kriya also( laughing)

how to overcome the fear of death?

Guruji: by introducing to him almost every day. We fear unknown. When we know – we seize to fear it. The understanding develops over the years but introducing to the spirit starts from the day one. But if we start to talk about death from the beginning – it will be dangerous. But experience of the death starts from the day one.

you said after death the practitioners of Kriya will have the choice?

Guruji: yes, they can take the other birth or remain in air body.

BHAGAVAD GITA – BOOK ON YOGA

Gita as yoga, society and communication, contextual logic, friendship and fear

I think he was the first who burned 60000 with that “hm”?

Guruji: first time – just like that( clicking the fingers )

and when Nanda Ji was carrying little Krishna through Yamuna river – Krishna also said “hum”?

Guruji: no, he just put his leg in it – and Yamuna river was satisfied touching his foot.

If you perceive your body like a bag with shit – your attitude will be different; but if you respect it as a temple of god, who lives inside your heart – attitude to your body will be different. So take a positive attitude.

You’ve seen Indian type of temples? The roof looks like a breast. Under the breast is the heart, where the god lives.

when the body dies; where the fire element goes?

Guruji: it goes with the vayu sharir – temporary; then it merges with the fire element. These are eternal elements: they were always there and they will remain.

how long it stays with the vayu sharir?

Guruji: till cremation happens.

and if the body is buried?

Guruji: then it leaves immediately. That’s why they say – where is paranormal activity it’s much colder here: no fire element. It just goes – merging with the original element.

DIFFERENT SHORT TALKS

Let's talk about death

LET’S TALK ABOUT DEATH

We all fear what we don’t know, the unknown.

we afraid death the most?

Guruji: that’s why we afraid what will happen. Will it be painful, will it hurt me, what will happen with me – apprehension will start into fear. Acute apprehension is called fear.

what we must do after death?

Guruji: nothing – just be ready to face what will happen. Let us see – what will happen.

one of my friends was in an accident and clinically he was dead – but after returning he is very relaxed and calm?

Guruji: because he’s now sure that his existence will continue – so he is more relaxed.

mostly after such experience people are not relaxed?

Guruji: I’ve seen some people – they begin to drink and eat too much, because they know they will not get it there. depend on the mental level: some people become very saintly, very deep thinkers.

scents are like food for them?

Guruji: I’ve seen many ghosts carrying for physical food, yes. This memory remains.

when we do some scents or incense for them…?

Guruji: they like it, yes. It’s their food.

if we can face the death in life – it will be like a picture?

Guruji: there is no theory – you will just accept it as a fact of life. Acceptance is needed. At the same time we’re alive – so we must study life also. I like Socrates: when he was given the poison and his disciple begin to whip – he said: this is the right time to discuss death, let’s discuss! That was amazing.

DYING IS ALWAYS FRIGHTFUL

Dying is always frightful — Naada, light and two chances

DYING IS ALWAYS FRIGHTFUL

You see, the person is too nervous and afraid and full of fear, because he is dying; and who has never done Kriya yoga and never so he has not expose to such experiences like Naada and light appearing; suddenly if these things will happen - he will be afraid and will try run away from it: and that will change his destiny.

his reaction I could understand – but why exactly the shining disappears?

Guruji: they are too busy to remain appearing always for a fearful person. He will continue to be more afraid – so why to be after him? That shining may be the consciousness of the Void.

but why they give another chance?

Guruji: they have compassion.

who created this exact pattern of two chances?

Guruji: Kaal: Time Itself. As a religious person you can blame everything on god: god created this and that; but nobody knows for sure.

DYING IS ALWAYS FRIGHTFUL

Don't be egoistic — how to live correctly

DON’T BE EGOISTIC

I’m interested in the process, how to die correctly?

Guruji: why? You should be interested in the process, how to live correctly!

I’ve read in Autobiography of the Yogi that Guru did the second Kriya and said to disciples – don’t be egoistic, it’s time for me to leave?

Guruji: that is Nabhi Kriya with breath. But we don’t know exactly.

he knew how to behave in his last moments?

Guruji: he knew that, yes. The time will come and you will also know.

EVOLUTION OF RELIGIONS AND GLOBALIZATION.

Fear of death, Jesus, suicide and the hero's death

if you’re in fear of dyeing?

Guruji: everybody fears death. You think jesus Christ was not afraid? Then why he was crying – father, why you forsaken me? How you will explain?

it could be the expression of pain but not the fear?

Guruji: fear is because of pain. As a Christian you must not believe that who tells you that he went to heaven because without judgements’ day no good Christian will reach heaven or hell. Believe in bible. Going to heaven is very doubtful.

I will quote captain Davie Jones here: life is cruel. While the afterlife should be otherwise?

is it important for You in what God people believe?

Guruji: it means nothing to me if they believe in god or they don’t believe in god – what matters to me is that whether they believe in themselves.

if the people suffering in this life and made suicide because of that?

Guruji: they suffer even more afterlife. They think they’re getting the release of their problem, but more bigger problems are waiting for them on the other side. It is not a good idea.

they become slaves of some spirits?

Guruji: they are tortured. They become like sex slaves. It is very awful situation, the worse thing in life that can be imagine.

If you die by saving someone’s life – this is death of a hero.

if you die in the name of some god – it will be sacrifice?

Guruji: no, it will be suicide.

Follow your heart – which maybe the most difficult thing in the world.

Death is not love's opposite — life loves death and runs to meet the lover

could be the death opposite of love?

Guruji: no, you read my book: life love death so much – from the moment it starts it’s step towards it. True beauty experience is the moment of death, because the moments of union are always beautiful – when life meets death. Life loves death so much. I’ve written it in my commentary on Gita; in the 3 rd chapter you’ll find it. Life is continuously running to meet the lover.

I WAS YOUNG, I AM STILL YOUNG

Astral travel, obsession, rebirth

ASTRAL TRAVEL OBSESSION REBIRTH

when we’re sleeping – we could have different activities in the dream: we could discover something, learn something – but we will be pulled into the body at the time of awakening; what mechanism are pulling as into the body?

Guruji: your remaining life span. You will have to complete that time. Sleep is compared with little death, and dreamworld is astral world: we all go to some place when we’re sleeping. We will keep coming back till the time is over.

is it connected with the ritual when after death the skull is broken – so spirit couldn’t come back to body again?

Guruji: no, before cremation it is done: at the time of cremation it is done. Not for it may enter again: it may go and take another birth.

we talked before that some other spirit could enter into the body?

Guruji: yes, case of possession is very common.

but if someone is travelling in astral in the dream…

Guruji: it is possible

so it will be not 2 spirits in one body – but some other will take it?

Guruji: any earth-bound spirit or ghost can possess your body – if you’re not connected with the powerful lineage. Otherwise there is always a possibility. Astral world is not that romantic and rosy as people try to describe it. So many dangerous things are there.

it happens when someone wants to enjoy the life but doesn’t want to take rebirth – so it takes the grown body?

Guruji: it is just like – why a criminal robs you?

that remaining life span is a storage of prana?

Guruji: whatever prana you have been given before taking birth – you will complete that.

is it possible to remain in astral?

Guruji: very powerful spirits – they can remain.

so if the very powerful spirit decide to remain there while body is sleeping, so?

Guruji: no, life span they will have to work out. After death, if the spirit is powerful enough, - they may decide to stay there.

As human beings, what we have achieved? I think we have achieved eternal confusing. And because all the scientists were confused – they saw the fusion of atoms. Confusion is the basis of all wisdom, which will come to you.

because the time span wasn’t exhausted to the limit – that’s why it is pulling him back?

Guruji: the time span, which he was given specially to be here in the body: until unless it is over – you will never die.

but if the person will commit suicide?

Guruji: very severe consequences and punishment waiting for them. It is like accusative from the army: no escape.

IGNORANCE NOT INNOCENCE

The vulture, Garuda and the Yamduts

Such great people knowing exactly there is going to be their last.

There is very interesting story: there was a very old vulture, living somewhere. And every day some yamduts were pass that way, looking at him very surprisingly and shrugging. They were passing where he was living, just look at him and just do like this – as if in wonder – and the vulture became very afraid. Why they are looking at me, why they give so much attention to me? What’s wrong? He was the great devotee of Garuda. He just pray to Garuda, invoke him, and Garuda appeared. He said – I have a mystery: these yamduts – they are looking at me, wonder, and they are moving on. Why is that? Garuda also was not knowing. But the mystery became so deep and Garuda decided that: I will take you on my back to the Creator’s place. Creator also was silent, when he heard it. Then they went to Vishnu’s place. Vulture was riding Garuda – and they went there. There yamduts came and caught him. His death was written in front of Vishnu. Yamduts was always wondering: this old vulture is sitting here – and he is to die in front of Vishnu; how it can become possible? And his curiosity makes it possible – he went there for asking the question and that was his death.

could the really good ayurvedic doctor know about his death before?

MARAN DHARMA

Maran dharma — death as the real dharma, faith versus knowing

MARAN DHARMA

I’ve noticed that some high spirits are waiting for the chance to send some message.

There is a very old poetry – two lines I remember: there is no worry if I left her behind – the sky is big enough for me to fly; and somehow to meet you – I don’t have hope, but very strong faith.

The hard truth may give you great faith – but any lie can give you hope . So we need to understand the difference.

if subconscious mind is fully awakened and you have faith that you can do such things…

Guruji: if your subconscious mind is awaken – you will not have faith, you will know exactly what you can do. That is the state of knowing. Strong faith means: yes, I will do.

so only when you know exactly how to become extremely large or small you can do that?

Guruji: it’s your wish – yes. It’s considered as a big accomplishment. I’ve never seen such siddhi. Some hints – but not fully. Don’t you think – those, who are able to do that- they will not demonstrate them openly.

“Dharma” – it is in every book: we are all “maran dharma” people. What is our dharma? Maran is our dharma. It is written in every book. Someone keep saying – no, I’m hindu or I’m this and that… all are maran dharma. So maran – the death is the real dharma. The moment we’re born death is carrying us. In the moment of union you become intensely aware of your own individuality. No union -no awareness of your individuality.

to understand this aphorism we must be in a union?

Guruji: you must be a little bit developed by your consciousness.

what is the most important: how we perceive the death, how long we die, how we manage the time?

Guruji: everything is important. You cannot ignore the death: better to be friendly with it. Read all puranas: everybody says all human beings are maran dharma. So maran is their dharma – death is their dharma . Everything else is just passing of the time .

is it suitable for the yogis?

Guruji: it’s general – everybody is maran dharma. We’re talking generally yogis perspective. Every book says this.

with the practice of yoga – can someone change his death, which was prescribed when he was born?

Guruji: everybody is trying to avoid it. The more you will try to avoid it – the more powerful it will become . Better to face it. Say “hello” and don’t run away. You should also read Khalil Gibran – there is one story: Mustaba – maybe in Cairo or Baghdad – saw the death looking at him and smiling. Immediately he started the journey towards Basra. Gibran came to Death and ask: why are you smile at him? he ran away. Death answered: I’m smiling because I have to see him in Basra this evening – but he was here. Now he run away to Basra.

it’s like the story of two yamdutas?

Guruji: exactly – everywhere same type of the stories, because we are all maran dharma. When any yoga instructor will ask you – you can give him this answer: maran is dharma.

it exists the notion like “warrior’s death”; it exists the rules for vaishyas or shudras?

Guruji: a Vaishya will have Vaishya death and shudra will have shudra death( smiling) – a brahmin will have Brahmanical death and kshatriya will have kshatriya’s death. Everybody will have their own thing.

Death of the non-yogi and the role of preparedness

In Bhagavad Gita with your comments chapter 8 shlock 16 describes the death of an ordinary person, of non-yogi. Is it possible for non-yogi knowing only the theory and not having direct experience, to go through the experience of death without fear and be liberated?

A: I think if a person has enough devotion in the heart and he is a strong-build person and if he somehow got this information that is written in your chapter, he will be able to face it boldly, and his reactions will be different. And a layman who has never been into yoga or never been into kriya yoga and he doesn’t know what to expect, and suddenly this great experience he will experience, his reaction will be full of fear and that will change the course of his death. If you are prepared beforehand, you will be able to prepare without too much fear. And then a different story will begin. So for this this information is given.

PITRI TARPANA

FOCUS YOUR MIND - Pashupata vrata, the last thought and pure thought

FOCUS YOUR MIND

what is Pashupata vrata?

Guruji: that means that I’ve just move everywhere, don’t talk with anyone and just be with the nature, practice what your Guru given. It’s Pashupata vrata; nowadays we don’t see – it’s extreme thing. Only Shiva is known as Pashupatinath , only he may have done it or some disciples after. After vedic time it become more popular.

it also must be done for 12 years?

Guruji: no, it’s no time frame for it – it’s an achievement.

and if someone achieve?

Guruji: he will be like Shiva – it is said in Shiva Sutras. He will be like Shiva.

Last thought which you will have in your mind will decide where you will go, because you will be in a sort of the mental world. Your mind will remain supreme. That’s why it is said: focus your mind, control your thought, because after death – only the mental world, only whatever you will think. You must learn to control your thoughts. Thoughts are coming continuously – you need to learn to control them.

On the lower level – it’s just hypothetical things.

from Gita: if that unmanifest conscious presence will manifest itself without attention – the manifestation will be impure and thereby unclean?

Guruji: see, most of your thoughts depends on what you see, what you are attended to. If you’re able to focus without any attention, any point of concentration – only that is pure thought, state of pure thought. All our thoughts depends on something. If you’re able to think independent, without depending on any object or subject – that will be the state of pure thought. Your concentration should not depend on any point. It should be spontaneous thing. It’s a very deep thing.

Practice, distracting thoughts and dreams

To see death and remain alive; death as the most beautiful girl

TO SEE AND REMAIN ALIVE

is it true that death has her own personality and gender?

Guruji: in our mythology it is written that the creator created death as the most beautiful girl in the whole creation. When she was told – that is your duty, she was crying and said that she will have only the bad name because of her done. Then the creator said: don’t worry, even you will take the life of everybody – nobody will blame you. Very few people said – death took him up; they are saying – he died of heart attack, or cancer, or tuberculosis. Death receives the credit for that.

so death has her own personality?

Guruji: she is good.

nobody see her?

Guruji: oh, everybody see when she takes them away. They don’t remain to tell you.

is it possible to see her and remain alive?

Guruji: if she’s happy with you somehow and she allow you to be there- or if you’re able somehow to create some extra future for yourself. Remember my definition from Gorakhbodh: transforming future into past is life; absolutely transformation future into past is death. Immortality – having the unlimited future.

DEAD& COME BACK (MISTICAL STORY)

In 2016 he died in critical care unit and came back to life after that. Amazing story!

What he says: multiple-organ tuberculosis was detected and his sugar level was more than dangerous level. He was taken to the hospital in Bhopal, he was in critical care unit. Something came over his mind and threw away his medicines – he was like a mad man. They were trying to put him under sedation and he says – he died. Not only he’s saying – all the machines of the hospital said that; he was dead about 1 to 2 hours.

And what he said when he walk into other side: he says – he saw me with the trident in my hand and wearing red clothes like on puja – and my sister was with me. I gave him choices of bad words - you, bastard, what do you want- to be here or go back? He was afraid but happy to see me there and he says: I want to go back. Then my sister calmed me down and said: let him go – and she touched the trident on his heart and he was back. Chamatkar is: his sugar level is perfectly normal.

Many generations of his family are my disciples. Their family is the only family in my home town – maybe 24-25 people have done khechari in the same family. He says that I was looking extremely big – like in my universal form - maybe he was hallucinating, he was dead already( laughing).

when he start to be Your disciple?

Guruji: he is my disciple for last 15 years. His uncle is my disciple for nearly 30 years – family knowing me for 30 years.

can we call it experience of Samadhi?

Guruji: it was an experience of death. He went to the other side and came back. He was there about two hours and all the machines were telling he is dead. He was feeling that somebody squeezing his throat, heart stopped, breath stopped and he was out of his body – then all these things he saw. And he’s no longer diabetic.

SELF – REALIZATION IS THE GRACE OF THE GURU

About suicide — the machine business

ABOUT

SUICIDE

…If the

heart of the person is working, he’s breathing…

but it could be done easily technically nowadays?

Guruji: whatever – wait till he dies.

but his life will depends on money only: if I can pay – he will live, otherwise he will die?

Guruji: it’s great business, they will

squeeze every single rubl from the person whose dear person is dying. When you

cannot dive them another rubl – they just unplug all the machines and he dies.

It is good business for them; then another customer will come. again, it’s not

for long. You cannot keep him alive indefinitely, no matter how much they put

on him.

SELF – REALIZATION IS THE GRACE OF THE GURU

Suicide, karma and the 101-year-old ghost

but if the person is so much suffering – why You don’t support suicide in that case?

Guruji: I will say – if we believe in karma

and you stop consequences of all the karmas, results, which you’re going

through – then you will suffer again in the next life. It is better to clean

the slate now. Suffer now; suicide is not way out because more suffering

waiting for a suicide person.

but if the person commits suicide – what will happen?

Guruji: they keep suffer more and more even

immediately after life. Too much suffering.

what kind of suffering?

Guruji: the mental suffering is

overwhelming, far more intense than physical suffering. I talked with one

ghost: 20 years before he committed suicide and he suffered more than 50

years. He was really fool: he committed suicide when he was 101; instead of

waiting few months or few days he committed suicide. He said: for 50 years I

suffered. I asked – what type of suffering? He said – you will not understand

but I’ll try to give you an example: the pain of childbearing – what pain I

suffered was 100 times more than that. For 50 years continuously.

this suffer for this man finished?

Guruji: yes, then only he was talking.

Still it shocks me that he decided to commit suicide at the age of 101. That is

extraordinary situation.

The story of master Manveer Singh

The story of master Manveer Singh

Some people came to visit Guruji from their village near Meerut. They were almost bursting with excitement. When asked what was the reason, they said they have witnessed one of the most amazing incidents with their own eyes. Here's the story they told..

Master Manveer Singh had been sick for last few days. On this fateful morning the news of his death spread through the village. Hundreds of people thronged to his house since in the course of his life, he had taught almost everybody in that village, and thus he was well admired and respected. Since his son worked outside, the village elders sent couple of men to fetch him to perform Manveer Singh's last rites. While the men were gone to fetch his son, the elders prepared the dead body for cremation. They bathed and decorated the body and layed it down on an arthi(bamboo bier/frame on which the dead body is carried to the cremation grounds). Son's village was a little far off, and the only transportation available was motor-cycle. It would already be evening before the dispatch party could come back. While everybody was waiting, Manveer Singh suddenly sat up from his bier and asked for a glass of water..

First reaction among the visitors was of course that of panic. With stories of ghosts and ghouls taking over a dead body so common in India, especially in villages, that it took them some time to come to their senses. After a while, the elders gathered some courage and asked master Manveer Singh 'Ma'sab, what's going on? You've been dead since the morning, at least two doctors declared you clinically dead and now you are talking!'

The account master Manveer Singh then narrated of what had passed is most amazing. In his words:

"I was sitting in my living room reading a newspaper. I heard someone knocking on the front door asking for me by my mother's name: 'Does Smt. Kamala Devi's son Manveer Singh live here?'. I thought they must be some relatives from my mother's side visiting from a her village so I told them to come in, the door was unlocked. Two men came in, one of them was quite tall, and the other one equally short. They were dark-skinned, very muscular and only had a loincloth around their waist and a turban-like cloth wrapped on their heads. Besides these two pieces of clothing, they had nothing else on their bodies.

"The shorter of them asked me a bit harshly 'Are you Kamala Devi's son Manveer Singh?'. I said yes. He told the taller guy - 'let's get him then!'. Both of them came forward and grabbing my hands rushed me out of my house. My first thought was that they were kidnapping me [Manveer Singh didn't realize then that his physical body was left behind] . Outside the house, the shorter guy said again 'let's take him up' - and they pulled me up in the air! Then I thought may be I'm having a bad dream. As we rose up in the sky, I saw my house, my village then the city of Meerut, the Indian peninsula, the continents - we rose so high that I could see the curvature of earth.

"We subsequently entered what appeared to be an entire city. The buildings there were huge, and they were all shaped like the Konarka sun temple in south India. Outside some of these buildings, I saw very long lines of people waiting to get inside - and occasionally I would hear loud orders such as 'throw him raurava hell', or 'burn this guy in kumbhipaka (another hell)'. Interestingly, the people were always called in by the names of their mothers. Anyway, we reached a building outside which there was a very short line [it would appear that that must have been the line of virtuous people and since master Manveer Singh lead a very honest and virtuous life, he didn't have to stand in punishment with the others].

"Again, I was called in by my mother's name. Inside, I saw a very large man, about 8 to 9 feet who appeared to be very old and had a large pure-white beard. This man had a very blissful air about him and glory seemed to be emanating from him. He asked the shorter of the two messengers for the requisition letter. The shorter guy took a piece of paper out of his turban and gave it to him. The white-bearded guy looked at that paper and said 'There must have been some mistake, you've brought the wrong guy' [it would appear that the mistake was in the name of the mother, there was some other Kamala Devi's son who's time was up]. The shorter messenger replied 'Sir, we only did what were told. This is the only Manveer Singh son of Kamala Devi we could find'. The white-bearded guy looked down from his chair and said 'It's still not too late, we have time. Send him back and bring him again after 2 years'.

"While the 'officials' were having this conversation, I was feeling extremely relaxed and happy in that place - I had no desire to go back and was wondering if I could stay there forever. The messengers took me out of the building to send me back - I asked them would it be okay if we could stay there a little longer. The shorter guy lashed out at me 'Fool, because of you we've already wasted so much time, get the hell out of here'. He kicked me on my back and I started falling down again. As I was falling down, I saw the same sequence of images - first the curvature of earth, then shape of continents, country, city of Meerut, my village and then my house. Outside my house, I saw a corpse on a bier ready for cremation with a lot of people gathered around. I was sure I was going to die falling from this height and I cursed my fortune that I would die landing on a corpse! As I got a closer look, I realized that it was me itself! I regained consciousness only after I was in my body."

As master Manveer Singh was telling this, he was still sulking over the fact that it was so peaceful up there and why did he have to come back. Anyway, life slowly went back to normal. Two interesting changes were observed though - first, for the first few days after the incident, he felt very thirsty all the time. He would drink lots of water and it still wouldn't quench his thirst. Secondly, the area where the shorter messenger guy had kicked Manveer Singh had become completely numb - the skin had turned black and there was no sensation left in that area.

After hearing this story, Guruji asked the visitors to keep an eye out for what happens next. Two years later, master Manveer Singh was coming back to his village on a tractor, after buying a buffalo from an animal fair. Somewhere on the way, the tractor went over a sharp bump - one of the iron rails on the side came off and impaled Manveer Singh through the head. He died right then and there. It was exactly on the same date he had died and came back two years earlier!

Guruji said that may be these kind of mistakes [people being sent back from death since their time wasn't up yet] are being deliberately made. As the society is making progress materially, we are also being constantly reminded to not forget about the other world, that there is something beyond our visible world as well.

This is the unbelievable but true story of master Manveer Singh.

Samadhi

Samadhi

***

There is a poem in Hindi; it says the destination of life is death and there is no other way. Life is always running to meet death. And I say that the moments of meeting are always beautiful. There is a story in Indian mythology that when death was created She was the most beautiful lady. When she was told of her beauty she left it: it had a very bad name. And the creator told her: You will never be blamed for anybody dying. They will blame something else. And you just see: he died of cancer, he died of a heart attack, he died of an accident. Nobody say that he died because death came to take him away. Indian romantic language is revolving around the word “death”. When they say that a boy fell in love with a girl, the common slang in India is “he dies of her”.

Some Flowers And Some Thorns

Some Flowers And Some Thorns

Just as it is almost impossible to gaze at the sun continuously, much in the same way it is difficult to continuously experience human emotions, compassions, agonies, impulses, and feelings of I–consciousness. Those who could continuously experience the feeling of I–consciousness could understand the life and also recognize death in its truth.

Many people feel that they know me more than I know myself. But little do they know that I have been able to achieve proximity with me by understanding myself a wee bit after intense hard work for years. Instead of evaluating me, they should better endeavor to know themselves.

I know my breaths will cease one day, soul will abandon this body and death will occur. Death is one such experience which will occur to everybody on some or other day, and yet I will say after comprehending death and until the moment of death, I will endeavor to live each and every moment of it in its entirety and when the moment of death will confront me, I will experience the death in its entirety at that moment and will make it meaningful. Significance of knowing kal lies in experiencing every bit of it in its entirety.
