What is here, what is not, and how it was made

What is here. Guruji’s English Darshans and teachings as printed on gurujidarshan.com and shailendrasharma.org, his commentaries published free on his official site (the Gita, the Shiva Sutras, the Yoga Darshan, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika), transcripts of public videos (not checked against the audio), and public pages of other sites, some of them archived copies. Every section links to the page it comes from. Speaker names such as “Q:” or “Guruji:” appear only where the source prints them. Some pages give words of Guruji that the site attributes to him; they carry the label “attributed by source, provisional”.

How it is arranged. Five subject books, each in parts and chapters. Each section is filed under one main topic by one careful reading: a proposal that may still move a section, never change a word. Inside a chapter, sections follow their Darshans; on a Darshan’s own page they follow the order of the source.

What is not here.

  • Private recordings and private copies: not published.
  • Passages withheld for privacy: personal exchanges, and 4 sections the source itself marks “Not published”.
  • Text in other languages: this collection is English only: no Russian or Hindi pages (Earlier Darshans keeps the Russian originals), and no Devanagari verse lines (485 lines; the English translation and commentary around them are here).
  • Fragments and headings without text: 47 sections.
  • Writing by others about Guruji: 40 sections.
  • Guruji’s published book, Tao Te Ching — The Yogic Way: its 337 sections are listed under their topics; the book’s text (168,998 words) is not reproduced.

The few changes to the text. Everything prints as the source has it, except: Cyrillic letters that look like Latin ones inside English words are printed as the Latin letters; a capital split from its word by a PDF gap (“Y oga”) is joined where the whole word is printed elsewhere in the same document; damaged lines of PDF text are left out and a damaged word is shown as […]; the page numbers and running heads of a PDF’s pages are left out; and lines with no English at all (Devanagari verse lines) are not shown.

Limits. The text is not checked against recordings. The topic filing has not been checked by a person. Dates are shown only when the source gives one.
