Mahakala, Vibhishan, and the Seven Immortals

"Guruji, I read that in the war with Banasura, Lord Krishna defeated Lord Shiva as well. Is that true?"

Guruji: "Actually Shiva-ji told Krishna to use jambhastra on Him so he that couldn't help Banasura. And Lord Krishna didn't kill Banasura, only defeated him and cut all of his 1000 arms but 4. It's interesting what happened to Banasura. After the battle, Nandi suggested him to dance for Shiva. So in this amputated state he did Tandava for Shiva! After that Shiva-ji made him Mahakala. Mahakala is Banasura only. It might have been a test for him, to see if he could still perform in this condition. The description of the dance is wonderful! He danced his eyebrows, produced different sounds, and all this while fully covered in blood! You'll find this story in Shiva Purana, Harivansha Purana, as well as Mahabharata.

"I have read about two Mahakalas: Banasura who even Shri Ved Vyas has referred to with great respect in Mahabharata, calling him Sriman Mahakala. One more Mahakala is a brahmin named Mante in Skanda Purana, who became Mahakala with his penance.

"Ved Vyas has also said that Sukracharya and Brahaspati (Jupiter) are one and the same."

Guruji: "You know why Hanuman-ji contacted Vibhishan when he went to Lanka? Vibhishan was chanting 'Rama Rama..', so Hanuman-ji immediately knew that he would get his brothers killed (laughs). Obviously, if somebody's chanting the name of their brother's enemy then clearly they are looking to get their brother killed. He eventually became the king of Lanka, and took his sister-in-law, Mandodari, as his wife. That means his intentions were always bad. If he had not done so, and had not taken his elder brother's wife whom he should have respected like his mother....

"Vibhishan is also immortal. Maybe Shiva-ji made him immortal to set an example that a brother should not be like this. He's a antithesis of how a brother should be.

"All traits are represented by the seven immortals. A son should be like Ashwatthama, who left no stone unturned to avenge his father. A donor should be like King Bali, who gave away the three worlds! A man of knowledge should be like Vyas-ji who classified the vedas and created the puranas. A brother shouldn't be like Vibhishan who got his own family killed and dared to take his mother-like sister-in-law as his wife. An uncle should be like Kripacharya, who had the secret of immortality and who supported his nephew and made him immortal as well. A devotee and a hero should be like Hanuman-ji, who went beyond possible to fulfill his duty. Kartum - what is possible, akartum - what is impossible to do, and anyatha kartum - if there's anything beyond possible and impossible, he did all three. And a guru should be like Parashuram, who established discipline as well as an immortal tradition, with stalwarts like Drona, Ashwatthama, in his lineage.

"The next hierarchy of gods is going to be permanent. Hanuman-ji is the new Brahma. Wow we are entering actual Sat yuga. Also, Vibhishan is under Hanuman-ji's control so all the rakshasas are under control. It might have been part of the deal with Vibhishan, 'whatever you are doing at home with your sister-in-law, don't create any disturbances in the creation' (laughs)."

Gita discussion English witness: exceptions, privacy and unknown answers

GANDHARVAS, ASHWINS and MARUTAS

Once, when I told you about one of my friends, who lived in India for a long time, described the interaction with one Guru- tantric: he invoked a spirit - and strange beings appeared with the horse heads – and You smiled and said quietly: they were gandharva.

Guruji: Yes, gandharvas.

There are so many creatures listed in the Gita: aswinas, marutas, gandharvas, other celestial creatures ...

Guruji: Yes, they are all celestial beings

Could you please describe, for example, what marutas are?

Guruji: Marutas are 49 types of vayu, which roam in outer space. We experience only 1 type of air here – but they are 48 more: solar winds and others. Vayu is roaming in 49 different directions.

So, Maruta ganas are..

Guruji: 49 in number: they are all over the Universe.

Have you seen all of them?

Guruji: Some of them: some are too far away. Some of them can’t tolerate being close to Earth; and maybe Earth can’t tolerate their presence; so they are moving in outer space. I've seen some of them.

What about ashwin?

Guruji: Ashwini Kumars? Those celestial doctors? But now they exist in the forms of Nakul and Sahadev, two Pandavas. They are not in heaven any more.

Do gandharvas live in a special world?

Guruji: In gandharva loka; and two special gandharvas are continuously singing for Vishnu – they have horses’ heads.

Why?

Guruji: for his entertainment(laughing)

Maybe they sang very badly in their previous lives?

Guruji: (laughing) probably – if they sing for Vishnu; and their names are described in the books, amazing names: Haha and Huhu. They have horses’ heads. Many of Shiva ganas also have insect and animal heads... Some tantrics say that it is much easier to contact a gandharva, than a ghost.

Because they are quite talkative?

Guruji: Very talkative and they crave attention: nobody cares for them. Who is worshiping them now?

Celestial accounts

Some musicians probably still have some connection with them?

Guruji: Maybe gandharvas are incarnating as musicians – it is a big possibility.

As known singers?

Guruji: Especially big singers: it’s not easy to sing.

GURUJI ABOUT GUNAS

Why is creation based on carbon — yakshas, rakshasas, Gorakhnath's ashes

WHY IS CREATION BASED ON CARBON?

Because creator is called Brahma and everybody came from him – all rishis were brahmins, even all gods are brahmins. There are two types of beings: they came out of the creator’s body: one being attacked him to eat: bhaksha, bhaksha – to eat: they were called yakshas.

Other beings – they tried to protect him: Raksha, Raksha – protect, protect – and they were called rakshasas. Rakshas literally means “who protects”. But now we have absolute different sense of it.

It is in Nath lore: they said when Vishnu opened his eyes - everywhere was water; and he was not knowing how to start the creation. So he went to Patala, where Gorkhnath was sitting at his eternal dhuni. He requested; Gorakhnath gave him the hand full of ashes; he spread it on the water and then all creation came into being.

All scientists saying the creation is carbon based: ashes from dhuni is pure carbon – so it could be true. It is the only explanation, why this creation is based on carbon.

IGNORANCE NOT INNOCENCE

Mistical story — the genie sweet shop

MISTICAL STORY GENIE

One family has very old sweet shop there – his grandfather has that shop. He was the very-very famous sweet maker there. One day something happen and he was late at closing his shop. And there was a lot sweets remain – no big sale that day. About 11 o-clock in the night – it was unusual for those days to keep the shop open to this late – a very tall dark man came from somewhere. He ordered him just put all those sweets to a big basket; the owner said ok and did it. And he paid him with leather coins. In every leather coin it was one gram of gold in the center. He just put the hand in his pocket and simply give hand full of coins, took the basket and went away. He was so happy to see all this gold, which was much beyond the real price of that sweet – he begin to wait every day for that man. And that man kept coming for next 5 or 6 years. Every day he will take a big basket of sweets, all variety which was available; and he would pay with a hand full of that leather coins with one gram of gold imprinted in the center. They became very prosperous. Then suddenly he stop coming. He continue to wait – but he never ever appear again. Some of the coins were with the family and my friend showed me 2 coins. They were about 1,5-2 inches but with gold bit in the center, nothing was written on it. They became rich. The assumption – he might be a genie. Here also I have heard the story that sometimes some people come in the night, and they take all the sweets away and from smashan the sound came as they having a party.

INCREASE INCOME

Monkeys and bears as aliens; Earth as meeting point

so You think that bears and monkeys were aliens?

Guruji: it looks like it – for the Mother Earth they must be aliens.

that were the forms of life which are not natural for the Earth?

Guruji: show me one human being who are able to fly. All the rakshasas were able to fly, monkeys were able to fly – they were jumping hundreds of miles; human being cannot do that. Even Superman is an alien and he can fly. Maybe Earth was the meeting point or the central point for the races to come here and try to dominate human beings. From Rama’s time first human beings became free.

now rakshasas are no more?

Guruji: they maybe living somewhere.

JYOTISH JEWELRY

Hidimba — the forest goddess

HIDIMBA

someone told me about beautiful Hidimba temple on the north: so she might be nearly immortal?

Guruji: she is worshipped as Shakti of all the woods, forest goddess. She must be still living somewhere. She’s Hanuman Ji sister-in-law – so she must be extraordinary.

she must be the last rakshasi who is alive and in the power now?

Guruji: no, they must be more: we just don’t know about them.

MOTIVE PRIMARILY

Rakshasas for us, yoga for all beings, Ravana's 311 billion years

but they are not protectors of human beings?

Guruji: if they are available to us – they are for us. Otherwise we will never stop.

yoga practice is not for them?

Guruji: all beings can practice yoga. Whoever deserves the practice and is breathing. The longest living being were king of rakshasa, Ravana. He lived for 311 billion years.

Ojas, tejas & prana.

Nature gods, animal carriers and the spirit taxonomy

…some powerful beings are roam in nature – they are nature gods. Among shepherds and certain different animals – somehow they are connected with them. Like our own god Krishna is connected with cows. Shiva is connected with cobras. These animals are very important carriers or they form the different connection with them. Through them you can make contact with those certain powerful beings. They know all worldly things so you have to create some interest in them so they will look at you. They are nature. Yahweh exists among shepherds, goats and sheep. Some tribes of shepherds are continue to be nowadays – and they have some supernatural abilities. Their mind is different.

… spirit is the very general term: every small or powerful or weak – all of them are spirits. Being is much more powerful then simple spirit. In India we have many categories of them – bhutas, pishachas and many others.

Yakshas, rakshasas and offerings

In the chapter in Upanishad, the one of these stories «The untold tales», it’s phenomenal, mind-blowing chapter. You commented on the yakshas and the rakshasa. Are they good, are they bad, are they equalizers, neutralizers, are they working together, are they still here, should we give them any offerings , as the creators of this world, protectors?

A: Unnecessarily you don’t need to attract their attention, until unless he appears in front of you and demands something. Don’t go on your own to offer something to them. Leave them alone.

Are they from this world? Are they friends with nags and nagins?

A: They are not human. I think there are some instances when the marriage between the nag and the rakshas is recorded in ramayana. But they are different types of being. I will give you one example, the son of Ravan , in Ramayanas you can read, Meghanada was married to a narg girl from the nag. So the marriages were happening.

SHIVA PUJA;

DEVELOPMENT OF THE BRAIN: asuras and sacrifices

DEVELOPMENT OF THE BRAIN;

there is no difference between asuras culture and gods culture?

Guruji : I’ve never ever read in any mythology that asuras ever demanded for sacrifices. Only gods keep demanding sacrifices.

Q: You also mentioned that they really do not depend on the worship any longer?

Guruji: yes, it’s very simple reasoning for me. As we see – only heavenly gods were surviving on yagyas and different things, but what about daityas and danavas who are living in Patala? No worship has been done to them, and they manage to survive – that means they are self- sufficient, they don’t need any slave to do something for them. That makes them very good and very powerful. Another thing come to my mind: one time creator Brahma hold the meeting for all the realms – 7 patals, 7 heavens… king Bali also went to heaven to attend that meeting. When he entered – the power of his truthfulness and goodness was so overwhelming so all the gods were afraid and they run away from him. that make me think – the gods are afraid of goodness and righteousness; so why they are called gods?

Q: at the same time You said that they don’t care about human society – but they change the course of the human’s history?

Guruji: they are not actually caring for us. They are only care to make their life out of us: we are like live stock to them. Always performing yagyas and praying to them to repulse the small favors; king Bali isn’t making us slaves, he is self-sufficient.
