What this edition contains
Rama’s return, his questions about life and impermanence, and the gathering of sages after his speech. Chapter 6 follows Shuka’s inquiry with Vyasa and Janaka, then reaches Vasistha’s first teachings to Rama. Chapters 7–10 develop effort, the transmission of the teaching, knowledge, tranquillity, inquiry, contentment and good company. This is an unfinished graphic novel, not a complete adaptation.
Sources and artistic interpretation
The narrative is selectively adapted from Vihari-Lala Mitra’s Yoga Vāsiṣṭha, Book I, chapters 4–33, and Book II, chapters 1–16. Each page has edition-specific passage references and adaptation notes. Dialogue is condensed adaptation, not a verbatim scripture translation. Comparisons, narrated events and illustrative inventions are distinguished. Selected Sanskrit Mokshopaya comparisons are separately identified; a universal verse concordance is not assumed.

Artwork is AI-generated under editorial direction. Exact faces, clothing, architecture and camera staging are artistic reconstructions, not verified historical likenesses. Chapter 8 onward follows the user-directed lean, youthful-looking adult Vasistha with a black beard; exact age and beard colour are not independently verified textual prescriptions, and earlier art has not been retroactively redrawn. Language, philosophical, visual-continuity and print review remain open. English, Hindi and Russian are editorial drafts.
